Gavel is a curated auction house for authenticated handbags, fine jewelry, watches and rare coins. We believe the best objects deserve context, care and a room that respects them.

The auction world can feel like a numbers game: thousands of lots, endless scroll, a countdown that punishes anyone who hesitates. We built Gavel for the opposite experience — a smaller, sharper room where every object has been chosen, examined and described by someone who knows it.
That means we say no to a great deal. A bag with an unclear history, a watch with a replacement dial, a coin with a doubtful grade — none of it belongs here. What remains is the good stuff: pieces with integrity, presence and a reason to be kept.
We also think you shouldn't have to wait for a hammer to fall to buy something you love. That is why every lot carries a Buy Now price. Bid if the chase is the point. Buy if the object is.

Every lot is reviewed for authenticity, condition and completeness before it is listed.

Flaws, wear and inclusions are written down. We would rather lose a sale than surprise a buyer.

Opening bids and Buy Now prices are set by specialists, not by an algorithm chasing a margin.

The house
Built by people who buy at auction, too.
Gavel is operated by the team behind US Diamond Outlet, a Los Angeles atelier that has spent years making, sourcing and selling fine jewelry. We know what it is like to bid on a photograph and hope. We know what it is like to receive something that isn't quite right.
So we built the house we wanted to buy from: clear photographs, honest condition notes, responsive people and a Buy Now button for the pieces you cannot bear to lose.
